How Culdesac Arrests Work
Culdesac counted 413 residents in the 2020 Census. It has no municipal police force and no city arrest log. The Nez Perce County Sheriff includes Culdesac in its patrol coverage. Idaho's assigned-location list ties the town to Idaho State Police District 2 as well. So two agencies could each write reports on the same incident. A county deputy may handle one arrest. A state trooper may handle another. When someone lands in the Nez Perce County Adult Detention Center, the jail builds the booking and custody record. A county court case may follow. That case stands as its own separate file. Keep the place, the arresting agency, the booking facility, and the court distinct.
Where Culdesac Records Appear
A county booking near Culdesac will most likely show up on the county roster, so check there first. Just remember it is not a Culdesac police feed, and it will not name the arresting agency.
| Channel | What it can answer | Photo | Source status |
|---|---|---|---|
| County In Custody | Current adult custody at the county jail | No photo in PDF | Official |
| Sheriff Records | County deputy report and county booking file | Request and review | Official |
| Idaho State Police | State-police event or investigation record | Not promised online | Official |
| Idaho Odyssey | Filed case, hearing, charge, and disposition | Not a photo source | Official |
| Regional news | Selected countywide events involving Culdesac | Sometimes | Unofficial and incomplete |
Release removes a person from the current list. The agency report and the court case still exist, though. The PDF also leaves out juveniles. If someone later sits in Idaho Department of Correction custody, on probation, or on parole, use the state resident search rather than counting that as a fresh Culdesac booking.
Find a Culdesac Arrest Booking
Work the sequence: county custody first, then the originating agency, then the court. That order keeps you from hunting a city arrest archive that simply does not exist.
- Open the Sheriff’s In Custody page and search its current PDF by last name.
- Record the PDF generation time. Call the Adult Detention Center at 208-799-3132 if current status is important.
- Ask which agency made the arrest. Use the Sheriff for a county-deputy report and the Idaho State Police route for a trooper-created record.
- Request a specific report or booking file by name, approximate date, place, and incident number when known.
- Check Idaho Odyssey for the filed Nez Perce County case and its later disposition.
Important: A listed booking charge may change or drop away later. The court disposition gives the case result.
When Culdesac Arrests Post
The county's own page describes an arrested-and-booked report that spans a 24-hour period. The custody database refreshes once a day. Reports update Monday through Thursday, and weekend or holiday activity lands in Monday reports. No live feed or fixed posting hour is promised.
That timing can bite. A recent arrest may miss your first check if processing happens after a refresh. Weekends add more lag. Recheck the PDF and call detention staff before assuming no booking occurred. The 24 Hour Arrests page explains that daily window. Anything older needs an agency request. Or it needs a court search. The official roster landing page states the county timing cautions that apply to Culdesac bookings.
The county custody channel is what it is: not a city police log, and not a photo gallery.
Culdesac Agency Handoffs
The state assigned-location list may point to Idaho State Police District 2. It does not make ISP a Culdesac jail or court. The same goes for the county jail's Lewiston address. It proves nothing about which Sheriff made the arrest. Custody and agency are separate facts.
| Fact needed | Best source |
|---|---|
| Who made the arrest | Agency report, citation, or direct confirmation |
| Who currently holds the person | County roster and detention staff |
| Who holds the incident report | Arresting agency |
| What charges were filed | Court docket or clerk |
| How the case ended | Final court disposition |
Traffic stop or state investigation? Name ISP in the records request. County deputy involved? Use the Sheriff Records Division. The jail may still hold a county booking record even when another agency wrote the incident report. Asking both custodians is proper when each holds a different piece.
Request Culdesac Booking Records
For deputy reports and disclosable county booking material, the Sheriff Records Division is the route. Ask for the exact record, not a broad history. Include the person's full name, the approximate date, Culdesac as the location, the likely agency, and any incident or booking number you know. Want a booking photo? Ask whether one is held and open to release. The online PDF shows no photograph. The county posts no fixed photo fee, and records may need review or redaction before release, so request a fee estimate and the legal basis for anything withheld. The Records Division answers at 208-799-3137, Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

An ISP-created report belongs with the state agency's records channel. Do not ask the Sheriff to certify a document that only state police produced.
Culdesac Arrest Photo Limits
Culdesac has no public booking-photo feed. The county's current PDF lists only a name and roster number. No charges, bond, dates, or release details appear there. Court facts and the arresting agency are missing too. That sparse display reflects the interface. It is not proof the jail never takes an identification photo. A photo may sit inside the booking or agency file. It would still need records review. The county booking-photo section covers that request path and Idaho record limits. An old image also proves nothing about who is in custody today.
Culdesac Court Follow-Up
A booking is only the start. The real test comes in court. Idaho Odyssey posts case and hearing details once charges are filed in Nez Perce County. The county District Court page handles copy requests too. Send questions about one case straight to the court. A docket answers questions a jail roster never could, since the two records track different things.
Arraignment comes first. There the judge advises the accused of rights and often addresses bond. Disposition is the ending. It might be a dismissal, a plea, or a conviction. None of that appears on the county's public roster. So a full Culdesac arrest check should reach past the name list into the court file. When nothing shows up, check the spelling, the date, and the jurisdiction before concluding anything, because filing delays, a different court path, or an arrest that never produced filed charges can each hide the case.
Culdesac Arrest News Coverage
Culdesac has no newspaper section devoted to arrests. Coverage still exists. Dailyfly, the Lewiston Tribune, and regional outlets may report a newsworthy Nez Perce County event that touches the town. They draw from police statements, affidavits, or filings. Treat an article as a lead. Pull the date, agency, or case reference, then confirm with that agency and the court.
Koze's activity archive tracks Lewiston Police, not this town. Mugshot aggregators cannot prove current custody or a full arrest count either. For older events that dropped off the current PDF, the Arrest Log page explains broader dated sources and their limits.
